Differing Party Sizes

Fell House can accommodate any party size from 2 to10. If you are prepared to sleep on sofa-beds and futons, the number that can be accommodated can rise to 16.

• For two, (or a small family), The Flat is ideal;
• for 3 to 8, The House alone will be ample, as long as two couples can each share a double bed;
• for 9 or 10, you can combine both The House and The Flat;

Booking Periods

The House and The Flat are both available weekly from Friday to Friday. Unlike most holiday accommodation we, therefore, offer the opportunity of a long weekend break (a weekend is up to 4 nights from Friday night).

Prices below are for a week; to obtain a weekend price, subtract £30 from The Flat, £50 from The House and £80 from Both.

How to Book

1. Decide what accommodation you need, The House (up to 8), The Flat (a couple or small family) or both (up to 16).

2. Decide how long you want to book for, and when. Then check the Availability to see if it is already booked.

3. Check out the Terms and Conditions (see below).

4. Contact us to confirm that your chosen accommodation is available on the dates you want.

5. Work out the total cost, subtracting any discount if you only want a weekend booking.

6. Click here to go to the Booking Form page, then print it off.

7. Work out 25% of the total cost (to the nearest £5) for the deposit and fill out the printed Booking Form.

8. Send the form (snail mail, I'm afraid) and the deposit to us at our contact address.  Payment can be made by:

   • cheque (made payable to "S Wickham", NOT High Ground Accommodation)
   • by internet banking transfer (sort code 20-41-41, account 83974731, include your name in the reference area!)
   • by international bank transfer (Swiftbic - BARCGB22, IBAN - GB32 BARC 2041 41839747 31)

9. We will confirm receipt of your money and the booking by return.

10. Send us the balance and refundable good housekeeping deposit 6 weeks before your holiday starts.

11. We will send you confirmation of all payments made and a welcome pack with arrival details and any information that you may need during your stay.

Terms & Conditions

We will...

• Provide an honest description of the property.
• Make sure the property is clean for you to use.
• Make sure that the property is safe.
• Provide bedclothes and towels.
• Make sure everything works and deal promptly with any maintenance required.
• Hold the property under a provisional booking for one week to give you time to get the booking form and deposit to us.
• Refund your good housekeeping deposit within 21 days of your departure, less any valid retention.
• Refund all moneys paid in the unlikely event that we cannot fulfil a committed booking.
• Pay you 5% of the cost of any booking taken following your recommendation (paid to you on receipt of balance from new booking).

You must...

• Pay 25% of the cost on booking (or 100% if less than 6 weeks to start date).
• Pay any remainder 6 weeks before the start date of your holiday.
• Consider travel insurance, as the above moneys are NOT refundable if you cancel the holiday for any reason.
• Pay £100 good housekeeping deposit for each property (i.e. £200 for the whole of Fell House), which will be fully refunded as long as you leave Fell House as you would expect to find it and meet these terms and conditions.
• Respect the property and its contents, treating them as your own.
• Not smoke or bring pets into Fell House.
• Respect the neighbourhood around Fell House. In particular you must not be noisy after 11:00 p.m. or use the street as an extension to Fell House.
• Not exceed the maximum number of occupants unless agreed with us beforehand.
• Tell us immediately about any breakages and be prepared to pay for them (or replace them with an item of similar quality).
• Arrive after 4:00 p.m. on your arrival day and leave by 10:00 a.m. on your departure day.
• Enjoy your time at Sedbergh! :-)
