Group Sizes

Fell House can accommodate any party size from 2 to 10. If you are prepared to sleep on sofa-beds and futons, the number that can be accommodated can rise to 16.

• For two, (or a small family), The Flat is ideal;
• For 3 to 8, The House alone will be ample, as long as two couples can each share a double bed;
• For 9 or 10, you can combine both The House and The Flat;

In total then, Fell House sleeps 10 in normal beds, but this can be pushed to 16 by making us of the occasional beds (2 x futons and 1 x sofa-bed) and so is ideal for a larger group. By combining The House with The Flat, the single property has 6 separate sleeping areas (most sleeping 2 except the Bedroom in The Flat and Bedroom 4 in The House, both of which sleep 4). The dining area seats 16, and all the necessary crockery and cutlery are provided.

Fell House is particularly suited for groups wishing to celebrate a special event with a shared meal in a cosy atmosphere with opportunities to socialise. The closeness of the Howgill Fells gives somewhere to share activity, while the local pubs are within an easy walk and provide a place to relax afterwards.

Being just off the Main Street, Fell House is in the centre of a residential area. This means that any group booking Fell House has to be considerate of the neighbours while they are staying. In particular, late-night noise and rowdy behaviour are not acceptable, and so if you are planning to have a loud, boozy party, then Fell House is not for you. On the other hand, if you are arranging a gathering to catch up with friends or family in a beautiful place, then Fell House and Sedbergh are ideal.
