We replaced our kitchen in The House in 2009 - it had begun to look a bit tired. We are pleased to have engaged a local(ish) contractor, who has links with a German manufacturer. The result looks spectacular.
In 2010 we did the same for The Flat, so they are now both slick and tidy, with all the amenities you would expect.
