January 2007 brought us some potentially very worrying news, as our House Manager Alison decided to hand in her notice. She has been fantastic for us over the four years she has worked for us, with many guests telling us how helpful and friendly she has been. As we live outside Cumbria, we absolutely relied on her to keep things shipshape at Fell House. How could we possibly replace her?!
However, Alison helped us again, suggesting Josie as a replacement. Josie has now been at Fell House for about a month and all is going very smoothly. She has got the hang of things and her confidence is building quickly. We have already got our first commendations for her from guests, so the handover has gone better than I could have hoped for.
That just leaves me to thank Alison for all of her hard work and dedication to Fell House over the years - we were very sad to lose her.
