Big spaces for family to gather.
Lots of bedrooms, lots of bathrooms. Easy to find, so close to walk to shops, pubs etc. Very welcoming, all beds made up beutifully. Josie very friendly. Well equipped kitchen, though layout (e.g. draining board) a bit tricky.
K. [June 2008]
A gorgeous area. Friendly people.
S. [May 2008]
Play park up the road was perfect for the children.
Good instructions to get there. Josie was very friendly and helpful.
A. [May 2008]
We enjoyed walking in the beautiful countryside surrounding Sedbergh.
Also we found Sedbergh itself to be less commercialised than some towns in other tourist regions. We were very pleased with The Flat, which is spacious and comfortable, well equipped and very conveniently placed for all amenities, shops etc. We had a very enjoyable holiday with the added bonus of extremely good weather.
B & M. [May 2008]
Large table to seat all is good, with a separate table to play games on.
The location is ideal; we did 3 different walks - 12ish miles - from the door.
R [May 2008]
No problems at all, thank you.
All our party thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially being able to sit around a large table at meal times and chat. The House/Flat was just what we needed and surpassed our requirements. Many thanks for a wonderful weeks holiday.
M. [April 2008]
We stayed in The Flat and had a very enjoyable stay.
Josie was very helpful.
G. [April 2008]
Your property was ideal for our family get-together (all 13 of us!).
The location was great in a very friendly village. The children enjoyed the playground and building snowmen - typical Easter weather! We enjoyed walking on the fells and hope to return again soon. Thank you.
M. [April 2008]
The central location was excellent.
The adaptability of the sleeping accommodation was good; and we appreciated the "welcome" pack of food. It was clean and tidy - many thanks to Josie and her colleague. Thank you.
D. [April 2008]
My family and I have had such a wonderful time at Sedbergh.
The countryside is beautiful and we enjoyed some lovely walks. Everyone was delighted to stay in your very attractive house, and we look forward to staying there again one day. With many thanks - it was quite magical to have all my family together.
S. [June 2007]
I am just writing to tell you what a wonderful time my husband and I had at Fell House.
I can't tell you how much we loved your house, we couldn't fault the property in any way, so much in the way of equipment, nothing was left wanting. Also, Josie who is a lovely lady, who keeps the property looking spotlessly clean, rung us before we left home, and welcomed us once we arrived. She was very courteous. The weather was very kind to us, considering how changeable it has been in some parts of the country over the past week. It did not stop us touring around both the Lake District and Nth Yorkshire Dales. This is the first stay we have ever had in the Nth York Dales, but I know it will not be the last. And I know that I will highly recommend your properties to anyone I know thinking about coming to that part of the country. My Husband had a birthday he will not forget in a long time, once again thank you!!!!
J. [June 2007]
The flat was fantastic, the best self catering we have ever stayed in.
Josie met us with a lovely smile and made us feel very welcome. The facilities are just great and there is a lovely feeling about the place that made us want to stay and come back again! We hope to back in the area in the autumn so will be in touch then.
M. [April 2007]
A warm, comfortable flat to come back to after a long cold walk - thank you.
A. [March 2007]
What a fabulous time we've had again
We've just (unfortunately) arrived home from our weekend break at Fell House & I just wanted to say what a fabulous time we've had again. Josie was fantastic, very helpful & friendly & the house & flat were spotless, warm & inviting when we arrived on Friday. It's lovely to be able to go somewhere that houses all of us as we are such a large number, for a price we can all afford. This has been our second visit now to Fell House & I'll be in touch soon to book another weekend next year as we are trying to make it a yearly thing because we've found such a fabulous place to stay.
A, [February 2007]
We did have a great time with eleven managing to get there for the Saturday night.
We were all very comfortable and enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with games, wine and much conversation. Unfortunately, I wasn't the first there and we had to leave on Thursday, so I didn't meet Josie. The couple who did said that she was very pleasant and informative. I have spoken to her a couple of times and she seems very pleasant and she returned a pair of gloves very promptly. The cottage itself was excellent. Plenty of space for a large group, and when the others had left we pushed the sofas together to make the sitting room cosy. Whilst we were there the weather was excellent, but that meant cold nights, but the cottage was warm.
L. [February 2007]
I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Fell House (the Flat) last week
Fab location, amazing scenery and your housekeeper is truly amazing after waiting for us 40 mins after our estimated time of arrival due to traffic delays!
S. [February 2007]
We had a great family Christmas there.
It’s a long time since I have had a family Christmas with my father and three brothers and their families where we haven’t fallen out! I’m sure the ample neutral space at Fell House contributed to us saying one big happy family this year. The house was very well presented and provisioned. We have stayed in a number of hire places over the years and Fell House was one of the best in this area; ample toilet roll, washing up liquid, fresh bread, flowers and dish cloths were noticed and welcomed.
J. [December 2006]
Many, many thanks for a wonderful weekend.
Our gathering was a tremendous success. Fell House was exactly what we needed. The location was fabulous. Fell House itself was superb: Plenty of space for communal meals, lots of useful plates and utensils, and little areas where folk could go off to be on their own for a little peace and quiet. Our children particularly enjoyed themselves, and want to do the same next year ..... but only if we go back to the same place!
The local sweet shop was a real boon. The book shops were enjoyed by many in our party. (My eldest son managed to buy some little heard of philosophy books, so he was absolutely made up!) The flat was a good place to send all the kids to watch telly when it was getting too much. And Merlin cottage was ideal for the older folk in our party. The 3(!) christmas trees were the icing on the cake. Just great. Many, many thanks again. It's been a real pleasure.
L. [December 2006]
Just wanted to say we all had a fantastic time in Sedburgh.
Fell House was wonderful and was made so welcoming by Alison. We all felt totally at home the minute we stepped inside There was lots of laughter, family games and reminicing over a few glasses of wine! Dad was so happy to be back in Sedburgh and quite overwhelmed with Fell House. Thank you for all your help in planning our weekend, your flexibility with our arrangements and the wonderful atmosphere of Fell House. We are already planning when we can return.
D. [November 2006]
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house.
The best part of the stay was having the space to all get together in one room whether it was the kitchen or the lounge but also to have the room to have some private time if required. Very convenient location too, particularly in the torrential rain we had all weekend. I was also very impressed with the amount of things provided in the kitchen (we couldn't find anything lacking) as the last holiday cottage I'd stayed in I had to take lots with me. Thanks again for an enjoyable stay in your lovely house.
S. [August 2006]
A great time was had by all and I couldn't have enjoyed my birthday weekend as much anywhere else.
Firstly, your caretaker, Alison, could not have been more helpful. From the first contact before arrival to the time we left. Alison really does you credit.
My brother and I arrived first and were given a guided tour by Alison and I can honestly say we were speechless. As were the rest of our party when they arrived an hour later. We were really impressed with Fell House, it is so beautiful. We have stayed in quite a few cottages advertised in the Premier Cottages magazine over the last 3 or 4 years and, whilst we have not been disappointed with any of them, Fell House is definitely the best, in our opinion.
As for Sedbergh itself, what a lovely village. We are already talking about taking a winter break and I'll be in touch soon regarding the availability of Fell House.
O, and one other thing, it rained on the Saturday we were there so if you could do something about the weather next time we visit, it would be appreciated.
R. [July 2006]
The House and Flat were very well equipped
Convenient for town and country walks by foot. Playground near was a big bonus for the children. Also choice of takeaways very close.
S. [June 2006]
Fell House is ideal for a party of walkers.
Comfortable and plenty of room, and makes an excellent base for walks in the Howgills. We particularly appreciated the convenience of being able to return early when the weather was bad. Town centre location was also convenient.
Variable room arrangements are particularly convenient for a mixed group. Plenty of room for a group of nine, and much architectural interest in a very imaginative conversion.
A most enjoyable and comfortable holiday; many thanks to Alison and all concerned in providing the facilities at Fell House.
G. [April 2006]
I'd just like to thank you for letting us your property.
We had a great time and the house was perfect. The village [Sedbergh is a very small town really - Steve] was fantastic, quiet and friendly. We will certainly be staying again.
C. [February 2006]
Just wanted to say thank you for our wonderful stay at The Flat.
We were very comfortable and Alison looked after us very well. Sedbergh is a lovely place and we'd love to return for longer. The time simply flew by - there was so much to do.
R. [February 2006]
Just to let you know that the family had a fantastic week in Fell House.
The accommodation and location is superb. We all loved the fact that you could shop the "old-fashioned" way. butchers, bakers, greengrocers etc. (not a Tesco in sight). The Dalesman was a great hit too and was frequented often. We had some love walks by the river and in the hills, the surrounding countryside is beautiful.
My sister G who lives in London and not a car owner or driver said that a plus point for her was the fact that you can have a very enjoyable time at Fell House and you dont really need a car. Oxenholme station is a taxi ride away and everything you need for a good holiday is right on the doorstep.
C. [December 2005]
I just wanted to e-mail you after our weekend at Fell House to tell you how fantastic it was.
We all had a really wonderful time & it was lovely us all being able to go away together given that we are such a large number. The pictures of Fell House & the flat do not do the property justice, it is fabulous & the kids have had a wonderful time playing hide & seek all weekend. I also wanted to say, although I didn't meet Alison as I was not the first to arrive, she has been a fantastic help to us while we've been there & the house was immaculate, we just hope that she thought we'd left it equally as clean & tidy for her! We will definitely be booking up for another weekend very soon.
A. [October 2005]
This was the most perfect way to celebrate our Ruby Wedding.
With 9 members of our family - from 4 to 80 - we all had a fabulous time. It was lovely that we could all sit round the dining table. The scenery was stunning - we did a lot of walking - and the people were so friendly and helpful. Alison was wonderful.
P.S. The butchers was superb - we even brought meat home for the freezer.
M. [September 2005]
The location of Fell House is ideal for local amenities and for travel to places of interest.
The large kitchen table is great to be able to seat all 12 of our party together - this was the social hub of our weekend.... great for domino competitions! I would highly recommend Fell House and we are already talking about another visit soon. A big thank you to Alison for her warm welcome.
S. [May 2005]
Most enjoyable aspects were the large spaces (lounge, kitchen) and the simple, relaxed atmosphere, i.e. no chintzy furnishings.
We really appreciated the flowers and food essentials that welcomed us, and Alison should be given full marks for the cleanliness and good order of the house. The locality is beautiful with marvellous easy walks (I'm so glad that so many other people crowd into the Lake District and leave this area relatively untouched) and the location of the house in the town, so no need to get in the car to go to a pub, is really perfect for a group of adults.
M. [April 2005]
An excellent cottage located in Sedbergh!
The personal booking service is good.
G. [March 2005]
Happy New Year
Thank you for leaving everything in the house the same as last year so we didn't get lost! We came for New Year last time and maybe, just maybe, we enjoyed it more this time. I think we have booked for next New Year, but what would I know, I'm only eleven! THANK YOU! All 14 of us had the best time ever!!!
R. [January 2005]
We had an enjoyable holiday
The older children were desprate to climb up (Howgill Fell) the hill, but we wern't alowed. When we tried it was too windy. Me, L, R and R when we were walking down because we got to the hill bit. We didn't walk on the path, we for some reason kept going up until we got half way. L wasn't feeling well and we had to find a path to get down. Because it was raining we got the wetest. When we got back we had a shower.
From E C Age 8. [January 2005]
Christmas 2004 Fantastic time was had by all.
Great set-up, all needs were catered for. We had The House and The Flat, so there were lots of places for people to relax (and hide). Can highly recommend The Dalesman - the food was fab. Also the butchers is great, we spent much time and money there and we'll miss it when we leave. Christmas dinner was great; we all invaded the kitchen and either helped or stood around drinking, pretending to help! All in all, we drank loads, ate loads and lounged around in our pyjamas all day!! Thanks Alison for the warm welcome and flowers; nice touch. Happy New Year.
H, P, P, S, M, J & baby C. [December 2004]
Fantastic from start to finish
Finding flowers on arrival was a really nice touch. We've been really lucky and has fantastic weather - done some fantastic walks - views in the Howgills are breathtaking - the many photos we've taken just won't do it justice!! Can highly recommend The Dalesman. Steak night is a 'must' and if you're a fan of good old-fashioned pork crackling then you must try the 'Dalesman Cracker'.
Husband's comments: Flat - perfect. Drink - Daleman in the week, at the weekends hung out in the Red Lion in Finkle Street with the local chaps. Walking - buy, steal or borrow a book on walks and get to work! The Calf [on the Howgills] for dinner time cannot be beaten with breathtaking views across The Lakes and beyond. Some good low-level walks around Sedbergh, and we also went over to Orton to walk the Scar. That's enough writing as at present we are in The Dalesman and a pint is required!
B & P. [December 2004]
What more can we say! A great 'pad' and we were left in need of nothing.
A lovely time was had by all, probably a bit of over-enjoyment was had, but despite this very much want to return.
The guys and gals from Wolverhampton. [October 2004]
The Flat and The House are lovely. It is a 'home from home'!
A good night in The Bull on Saturday, followed by a great Sunday lunch at The Dalesman! Thanks for everything, will be recommending you to everyone! X X X
The girls from Skelmersdale. [October 2004]
Thanks for a great stay (and thanks to Alison for all the help when we first arrived).
Wonderful place, wonderful people. The waterfalls walk in Ingleton is brilliant, so is the trek round Angle Tarn near Patterdale - highly recommended. To future guests: Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did. Thanks again and hope to come back some day!
G. [September 2004]
I would just like to say that we had the most fantastic weekend.
We had a wonderful time. The house/flat is a credit to you and was beautiful, very relaxing and cosy. Alison has been wonderful, the flowers and groceries were a lovely welcome for us. Thank you so much, I can assure you that we will be visiting again soon. A beautiful place in a lovely village.
J. [August 2004]
We had such a great time in Sedbergh at the beginning of the month, it really was a very special few days.
It's such an amazing house, we had everything we needed and we found the properties to be clean and very presentable when we arrived. Alison was really friendly and very helpful, although we felt a bit sorry for her having to clean such a large house on her own!
J. [July 2004]
My friends and I were all amazed at what Fell House offers,
and for the fortnight of the Sedbergh Festival, centred on the church, the location couldn't have been better. It must really seethe with life when flat and house are let together for a group of 14.
G. [July 2004]
Our stay at the Flat at Fell House was one of the best, if not the best we have had in Britain.
The flat was an ideal base for me and my young family and was amazing value for money. Alison's warm welcome helped us settle quickly. She was very helpful and polite. The flowers and bread, milk and butter was a very nice touch! I'm sure you are aware that it’s the small things like this that make a difference. I personally will be recommending [Fell House] for accommodation to my friends and family.
A. [June 2004]
The Flat is lovely, well equipped (dishwasher).
Perfect for a cosy weekend for a couple chilling out before baby No 2 arrives. Sedbergh is beautiful and ideally situated for plenty of Lakeland and Dales walking. We visited Fairfield Mill, which is now very impressive and then walked along the river back to Sedbergh. The scenery was great and we were lucky to have lots of sunshine. Hope to visit again one day.
H & M. [April 2004]
Great stay!
Dalesman food great , accommodation excellent. Great time had by all. See you again!
The Cs, Hs and Cs. [Easter 2004]
It was cool.
Thankyou for a great weekend. All our parents stayed upstairs and all the kids stayed in the flat. WKD
L, M, S, J & S. [January 2004]
We will be back. Glad we found you.
Thanks to Steve, Chris and Alison for a lovely few days and a great birthday present for P. Internet site was very good and informative.
M & P. [January 2004]
What a fantastic place to stay!
We shared flat and house with our family (Polish, Turkish and Cornish!!!). My cousin got married to a lovely Polish guy. We had a night out at The Dalesman (lovely food). Luxurious house to stay in and wouldn't hesitate to come back again! Lovely countryside and wonderful company.
A, M & M. [December 2003]
Thanks for your warm welcome, as warm as the weather.
We have enjoyed everything about the whole area and the set up at The Flat is terrific. We supped and died at The Red Lion and would recommend it for quality and value, plus a very good 4.5% brew. We would hope to return one day. Many thanks to Alison.
R & M. [September 2003]
We had a wonderful time at Fell House...thank you for letting us stay there.
After such a long drive, it was so nice to see Alison's smiling face when we arrived (and the flowers too!) We enjoyed eating (and drinking - hic!) at The Dalesman.....so nice to have a good pub on the doorstep. The weather was very kind to us - we had perfect 'walking' weather for exploring the beautiful countryside around Sedbergh. We will recommend the house to friends and family - we would love to visit again.
V & R. [September 2003]
Thanks, we had a great time.
The house was really well stocked, well it was before we got there! Its a really nice size and nicely laid out and decorated, great location too. We'll be recommending it to all our friends.
S&J, S&B, N,P and K. [March 2003]
It is simply the best place we have ever stayed.
We have thought very hard and, other than filling up the fridge with lager, there is nothing we could think of to add to The House or The Flat that wasn't already there. Many thanks.
A [November 2002]
We had a great time.
Unfortunately we all now want to move to Sedbergh.
H [November 2002]
We all had a great weekend at Fell House.
Thanks again for everything.
K [November 2002]
A good retreat for relaxing and reflecting on life.
Happy with the welcome and reception from Alison. Highly recommend for friends. Thanks and keep the hospitality up.
Mr & Mrs R [November 2002]
Many thanks to Steve and Alison for letting us all stay at the fabulous Fell House and Flat.
We have had such a fantastic time in the accommodation, and out and about. Many thanks to Alison for the warm welcome and for all those extra special touches like flowers. Really made this the best place to stay. Leather sofas and fire very much recommended for hangover cure! Hope to come back sometime.
A [November 2002]
We strolled the village and saw how nice it was.
My friends birthday, we all went out for a great meal at The Bull. Time to go. All I can say is what a great house in a tiny little village. (Steve's note, Sedbergh is actually a town.)
C, L, P, R, D, T, M, J, J, V, L, H, H & C [October 2002]
A fantastic, cosy, well equipped house.
I'm definitely going to be coming back some time. Everyone had a great time (all 14 of us) as the house easily coped with accommodating us all. A great holiday home in a cosy little town.
L & P et al [October 2002]
A good week's stay at The Flat. Warm comfortable and cosy.
Sedbergh is lovely and the surrounding countryside is some of the best in the country. Stunning views both Lakes and Dales. Thanks to Alison for a warm welcome. We shall recommend and hope to return.
C [October 2002]
Poppy (10 mths) enjoyed her huge playroom, and clambered up onto the bed, onto the steps and clambered down again. She also clambered (in a backpack!) up all the Howgills, to Dentdale and up and down the beautiful Borrowdale valley West of the M6. Sedbergh is a very peaceful and interesting town.
R, C & Poppy [September 2002]
The group of us have gone from a camping barn with no toilet, to numerous ski chalets to this beautiful cottage. We had plenty of beers and did some great walks. Loved the chair, Magnus would be proud.
J, F, G, B, L, C, J, J, H, A, H & T [September 2002]
We had a fantastic weekend.
Everyone was extremely impressed with the facilities and we were very comfortable. All in all it was the perfect place for a group of friends to spend a weekend together. In particular, we were very touched by the flowers, bread, milk and marge that had been left - a lovely touch.
E [September 2002]
Our visit to Fell House and Flat has been great fun.
It has been a great experience here as we have never rented a place on holidays, but have stayed in hotels. The House and Flat have been arranged in a great way. We want to come again for next year, the kids are already planning! Thank you for a great place to stay.
A [August 2002]
The flat is excellent, all mod cons, delighted about the dishwasher!
We have had a terrific holiday here. Thanks to all.
S & P [August 2002]
We thought that the flat was gorgeous, comfortable, well placed and equipped with everything you could require.
Alison was helpful – thanks for the plug stops for the baby – a good idea. Chinese was cheap and tasty. Cheers.
C, G & E [August 2002]
We really enjoyed our stay at Fell House. Its so spacious and clean, also welcoming.

Great house – we loved it.
Can I have the desk downstairs? – G

We will be back!!

We had a fantastic time at Fell House.
It is absolutely beautiful and, having stayed in many holiday "cottages", we have never seen one so well appointed with such lovely decor. Fantastic choice of leather sofas, they are exactly the same as ours at home; what taste !!! Alison is wonderful – very kind and welcoming. Thank you so much.
M, D, T, E & C [August 2002]
A haven. Well set up (better than home).
Here for the medieval fair (good fun), only thing missing is Scrabble. Thanks a lot.
D & A [August 2002]
Note from Steve – Scrabble now installed in both The House and The Flat!
Brilliant again – thanks Alison.
C, G & E [August 2002]
It was an absolutely wonderful break & we all really enjoyed it.
The weather smiled on us so we got out to enjoy the amazing surrounding countryside. Not terribly strenuous with a 2 year old & 7 months pregnant woman, but we did all we wanted to do & more. Alison added a charming end to the week for us too - such a lovely lady. We're planning to come again already so will be in touch.
G, A, H, D, P, J & L [August 2002]
An enjoyable week at Fell House Flat.
The Dalesman and Chinese quite good for food.
E & J [July 2002]
I certainly have found no accommodations that have come up to your standard.
We have found The House and The Flat very unique and well maintained.
L & P [July 2002]
We stayed in The House Fri-Tue with the family and then in The Flat till Friday. Both were great,
everything you need and very well maintained, thanks to Alison. The Dalesman's food is excellent, the Bull is OK.
C & J [July 2002]
Thanks to Steve and Chris for a painfree booking;
Alison and the girls for a hospitable welcome and all for the attention to detail in The Flat. Our first visit to the area and we loved Sedbergh. Food in The Dalesman was excellent, the craic in The Bull good and the quiz in The Red Lion very enjoyable and profitable – won £49! All in all a brilliant short stay and a taster for the next time.
E & D [July 2002]
We had a fantastic 3 days.
The flat is so handy - we counted the paces to the nearest pub, 'chinky' and public phone - but it's not in the middle of a busy street. We also loved Sedbergh itself. Very laid back and we had a few pleasant walks round the school etc. It is also well placed for the Lakes (which we did) and for Yorkshire - which we would hope to do the next time. All in all we were very impressed.
E [July 2002]
Beautiful House and Flat with great facilities, and Alison made the place feel like home.
The place and area suited people of all ages and catered for all needs. The whole experience from organising the rental to the day we left has been wonderful. A message from the kids - "We're gonna miss this place man!!".
The C, Z & M families. [July 2002]
Lovely conversion and thoughtfully equipped.
Enjoyed both Sedbergh and the Dales, and it will prove a memorable time for Mum's 75th birthday and her sister's trip over from the US.
On top of that, Alison was a gem. At last we managed to complete a successful surfing trip on the Net. Many thanks. J, I, P, L, J, C & H (and for a slightly shorter stay, R & K). [July 2002]
Fantastic time had by all in this wonderful house.
Couldn't have found a better place if we'd tried. Well equipped and the sofas are an ideal hangover cure!
S [June 2002]
It is even better than the pictures.
We all had a very enjoyable stay at Fell House; it is a very lovely house and easy to manage even though there were 13 of us. The house suited us very much. I wish you well with it, I don't think you will have much problem in letting it out. It is even better than the pictures.
L. [June 2002]
Great house for 12 people with the flat.
Loved the kitchen & the pub & the take-away & the sofas. Will definitely recommend it to everyone, including those in Australia!
E et al. [May 2002]
Nothing needs adding or changing
We had a wonderful time in this unique and delightful house. It was exceptionally well equipped, spacious and perfectly suited. We will be back next year!
A. [May 2002]
We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend
The exercise, the beautiful countryside, the warm welcome we received in the town was exactly what we needed. The food on the local pub was marvellous, and we couldn't quite believe that we got blazing hot sunshine all weekend!
T. [May 2002]
Thankyou
D, J, A, B, A & M came to play and had a lovely time.
[April 2002]
We had a brilliant time and loved the layout and style [of Fell House] (sort of "When a Monk becomes a rock star!").
It has a light hearted monastery feel with lots of space, the good sized kitchen/dining area meant everyone could enjoy and take part in the cooking. Hope that's taken as a compliment... it is.
J. [April 2002]
A ranty!
A house for 6 – 8 equipped for many more! 6 school parents and 3 school boys (and passing friends) have had a fun weekend in a house which is ideal. We are spreading the word with some reluctance!
The Hs, the Ws and the Ws. [January 2002]
Just want to thank you for our stay at Fell House over the Christmas week.
We all had a fantastic time and the house was ideal, and perfectly equipped. We got in some lovely walks too!
Will hopefully return for another holiday one day.
Thanks again!
S [January 2002]
Have just had an excellent few days in Fell House.
Our friend S did all the paper work for eight of us who have been going away for New Year for 12 years now and this is the best accommodation we have ever had. Many thanks for such a comfortable and thoughtfully set out house. We were sorry to leave and we'd love to return some time. Every thing was perfect and Melanie was really friendly and helpful. Happy New Year - glad we found you.
L and A [January 2002]
Wonderful standard of furnishings, good location.
Everyone in the party had a thouroughly enjoyable time, all agreed how excellent the accommodation is.
S [January 2002]
We had a fantastic week-end - thank you so much.
We were the envy of all our friends. We found the house perfect for our needs especially when 6 people are dressing for a ball and you have 3 bathrooms. There was nothing that was missing and it could not have been better.
S [January 2002]
We've had an excellent New Year's break.
We've been coming away at this time of year for 12 years and this is the best and warmest accommodation we've ever had. Loved the space and the thought that's gone into everything. Pity that work calls. We will recommend Fell House. Happy New Year to everyone who stays.
A, L, M, C, S, P, S and C. [January 2002]
A great place – very comfortable and perfect for seeing the Dales and the Lakes.
We had a lovely time here with our friends. Recommend the Dalesman pub for food and ambience and the Bay Tree restaurant if you want something more special. Too many lovely places locally to see. Next time we'll stay longer. Thank you.

What a brilliant place!
Everything you need and more under one roof. We've had a great time exploring the beautiful countryside round here. Wish we were staying longer.

Had a wonderful holiday.
Amazing scenery and hope that next time we come we can explore more of the countryside. Everything we needed in comfortable and attractively furnished accommodation with great character.

Such a wonderful place.
All you need here, been carefully thought out and being very well taken care of. Located on the edge of this Lovely village, it makes it the most convenient place to start your trip around the Lake District. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends in Belgium and Spain. Thanks for everything and Good Luck.
